Gerhard "Krauti" Krautwurst actually comes from Bad Schönau inLower Austria. The trained cook followed for the first time in 1995South-Tirol. At first, biking was just a hobby; "Krauti" researched thisnetwork of trails in the region and soon recognized the potential as a bike paradise. In 2001 he beat a second with training as a bike instructorcareer, followed by joining the Mountainbike Südtirol Groupand at the beginning of 2005 the founding of the "Krauti's Bike Academy". His vision sounds promising: in ten years, the Rosengarten-Latemar region and the rest of South Tyrol should be the best bike area in the world! As a founding member of the Südtiroler Bikeguides is the constant quality improvement of the South Tyrolean guides one of his greatest concerns.
